On the occasion of the 33rd population census, organized by INSEE, we invite you to consult the census forms used since 1769 and a bibliography of the main INED publications on French censuses.

In addition to the documents concerning French censuses, you will find on this site a selection of census and civil registration forms from different countries as well as different documents on the history of demographic statistics in the world from the 19th and 20th centuries.
